Flowers die and balloons pop...send a rubber duck!
Once upon a time in a small town
(really small town) there was a boy who struggled finding a
"favorite" is his life. His stuffed
animals fell apart, his toy balls deflated, and he was simply way too cool to
have a favorite "blanky". Flowers sparked little interest and they were
notoriously known by all the neighborhood boys to be a favorite of those with
cooties. The boy searched and searched and his quest finally led him to rubber
ducks. Cute, amphibious and always smiling, they were there for him during bath
time and beyond. During the early years of his life he repeatedly envisioned
sharing his joy of rubber ducks with the rest of the world. At last, his dream
came true with the launching of this web site...
What?!?!
Okay, the story is fictitious
(thankfully) but there is some truth to the tale. RUBBERDUCK.COM was founded in
order to show the world how fun rubber ducks can be and to provide a unique
alternative to flowers and balloons (and of course teddy bears!). Many times at the last minute I have found
myself scouring the Internet looking for a unique gift to send a friend, family
member or to show a significant other that I am thinking of them.
Flowers are pretty, but come on; they are soooo yesterday
and usually shrivel up within a week.
Of course you can send balloons, but they always offer that "I realize I
am boring, but I do not want to send flowers again" image. Last, in recent times teddy bears have
become an alternative, but they are expensive and with time fall apart like the
poor boy's stuffed animals did above.
RUBBERDUCK.COM offers a solution
to life's great gift giving dilemma. Customers can now send a unique rubber
duck with a personalized message via our special Eggspress Mail packages.
Because our rubber ducks do not eat too much they are light weight and
inexpensive to ship. We source our rubber ducks from around the world and
provide an endless amount to choose from (at least we hope our customers will
feel that way). I hope you enjoy the web site and
please let us know if you have any thoughts or recommendations.
Warm regards and happy rubber duck hunting (searching!),
